Front gardens for revive identified

It is all action at Ready Steady Grow. Our selection panel has been at work and the East Pollokshields front gardens to be revived have been identified. We have been working with the residents of the blocks to establish what plants would suit and how the gardens can become more manageable for them. The revives will take place during the early autumn. When we will be publishing before and after photos.

The beautiful planters with summer blooms will be distributed this week too. Keep an eye on our social media, as we have growing kits to give away soon.

Let us revive your front garden

The Glasgow Times Street's Ahead programme have given us some funds to revive five Pollokshields East front gardens. All you have to do is submit an application form and your front garden could be one of the lucky ones. You will find the application form in the front gardens section of this website.

It is worth submitting an application form because we have ten pots of beautiful bedding plants for the runners up.

Each front garden revive and the pots of bedding plants will all be delivered with the current Government guidelines and social distancing in mind. For more information click here.

Covid response

We were lucky to receive funding from Glasgow City Council area partnership for a Ready Steady Grow event on 6 June 2020. Sadly it looks unlikely that this event can't take place due to Government guidelines for social distancing.

We will think of a way in which we can support Pollokshields residents celebrate greenspace and get back to you all with fresh ideas.
